Acceptance of Conditions

By entering the Facility, purchasing any Nature Folk Product, making a Booking or accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Code of Conduct (collectively, the “Terms”). If you do not agree with the Terms, you must not access the Facility or browse or use the Site.

Agreement

  • These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Code of Conduct apply to your use of Nature Folk Wellness Collective Ltd’s (“Nature Folk”, “we”, “our” or “us”) facility located at 90 Alderney Drive, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia (“Studio”, “Facility”) and website located at www.naturefolk.ca (“Site”).

  • We reserve all rights to alter the Terms at our discretion. Each time you use the Facility or the Site, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of our current Terms as published on the Site. Your continued use of the Facility or Site following the publication of changes to these Terms is taken to be your acceptance of those changes.

  • The Terms, as amended by us from time to time, continue to apply for as long as you use the Facility and/or Site or until terminated in accordance with the Terms.

  • Definitions in these Facility Terms and Conditions are set out at the end.

Nature Folk Rules

  • Nature Folk is an inclusive space. You must respect all people and all bodies in the Nordic Circuit and Movement studio, and if it is found that you have verbally or physically made anyone feel uncomfortable, we have the right to request you leave the premises and to refuse entry at any time. Law enforcement may be employed if necessary. 

  • You must follow all instructions given to you by the Nature Folk staff and you acknowledge that any failure to do so will be at your own risk and may cause injury.

  • We have a zero-tolerance policy for any inappropriate behavior. If you are found engaging in any sexual activity at Nature Folk, you will be immediately escorted out and permanently banned from our premises.

  • You also must not:

    • use the Facility or any Facility Feature other than for its intended purpose;

    • obstruct or interfere with any of the entrances or common areas of the guests;

    • engage in any unsafe or dangerous behaviour;

    • damage any of the baths, bathing equipment, furniture or any other property in the Bathhouse.

  • Prior to use of any of the Facility Features, you must have been examined by a qualified medical practitioner within the past six months and have been found by such practitioner to be in good physical health and physically able to bathe in hot and cold environments. Pregnant women are not to use the sauna facilities. 

  • Certain Facility Features (including Classes) may be physically strenuous and you voluntarily participate in them with full knowledge that there is risk of personal injury, property loss or death. See the liability provisions below in the Liability clause. We are not liable for the security or loss of your property. We recommend that valuable items are left at home.

  • We will communicate with Members and Guests primarily via email. It is your responsibility to therefore ensure that the correct contact details are provided and that the nominated email address is regularly checked for correspondence.

  • Bringing illicit substances into the Facility is strictly prohibited. Bringing alcohol into the Facility is strictly prohibited unless authorized by us. Members or Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be refused entry to the Facility.

Passes and Memberships

  • Both our 5 x Infrared Sauna and 5 x Nordic Circuit passes can be shared with one designated friend or partner. Memberships cannot be shared or transferred and must only be used by the individual who holds the pass. Any Member found to be sharing their Membership, or Pass holder sharing their pass with someone other than their designated person will be denied entry to the Facility and have their Membership or Pass cancelled.

  • We reserve the right to cancel Passes or Memberships for any reasons, including your breach of the Terms or if your behaviour in the Facility is impacting the experience of other Members, Guests or our staff.

Gift Cards

  • We accept no responsibility if a Gift Card is lost, stolen, destroyed, or used without your permission.

  • Clients wishing to redeem a gift card must have the gift card on hand whether it be a physical gift card or an e-card. We do not accept receipts, or images of gift cards.

Cancellations—Bodywork (Massage Therapy, Osteopathy, and Naturopathy) & Movement Studio

  • All Bodywork treatments and Movement Studio classes must be canceled at least 24 hours prior to an appointment booking, or a 100% cancellation charge will be incurred.

  • All Bodywork and Movement studio class cancellations can only be made by calling Nature Folk reception directly at 902-469-0274 during hours of operation; or by emailing info@naturefolk.ca (if outside of Studio hours).

If you do not attend the Body work treatment or Movement Studio class that you have booked, you will be charged 100% of the treatment cost.

Cancellations—Infrared Sauna and Nordic Circuit

  • Our cancellation policy is in place to ensure everyone has a chance to enjoy the Nordic Circuit and Infrared Saunas. Nobody likes fees, but we don’t want anyone to miss out on the opportunity to come enjoy the facility.

  • Cancellations for either the Nordic Circuit or Infrared Saunas are only to be made via our info@naturefolk.ca email, via phone, or in person at the studio.

  • Cancellations for either the Nordic Circuit or Infrared Saunas can be made up to 24 hours before the start time of the session without incurring a fee.

  • Guests who do not not cancel their appointments prior to the 24 hour window will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds or credits on Multi Passes, Memberships, one-off access, Gift Cards, bulk buy or sale items. All such purchases are final.

We do not offer refunds or credits on Workshops or Events for change of mind, injury, illness, change of address or any other reason. All Workshop and Event purchases are final.

All retail product purchases are final sale.

Events

Group bookings for the Nordic Circuit require a 50% deposit upon booking. Cancellations are allowed 2 weeks prior to the event date without incurring the additional 50% balance. . Any cancellations within 2 weeks prior will be charged the remaining 50% owing on the booking. 

Legal Capacity

Entry into the Facility and any Pass or Membership is an acknowledgement by you that:

  • you are over the age of eighteen (18) years, or have obtained the relevant permission from a parent or guardian or will be supervised by a parent or guardian; and

  • you accept the Terms and agree that you have entered into a binding legal contract with us in relation to the Terms.

Errors on the Website

Nature Folk reserves the right to revoke any offering on the Website, to refuse or cancel any order or reservation, and to correct any inaccuracy, omission or mistake on the Website and/or with in-person/phone  bookings; even if the order or reservation has been confirmed and/or your credit card has been charged. Nature Folk will reimburse the full amount on the original method of payment.

Confirmation of your Order

You will receive an e-mail confirmation of an order or reservation; however, the confirmation does not imply that Nature Folk has accepted your order. Any time after you have placed your order, Nature Folk reserves the right to accept or refuse the order for any reason whatsoever. If your order is refused, Nature Folk will reimburse you the amount that was debited via the original payment method. 

Force Majeure

Nature Folk will not be responsible for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Conditions or otherwise which arises out of or is due to unforeseeable events or events independent of the intention of the parties such as “Force Majeure” events (war, terrorism, inclement weather, lack of energy, pandemics, interventions and prohibitons of official authorities, and supplier delays). 

Updating of Conditions

Nature Folk may at any time and without notice, modify these Conditions by updating this page. Please consult this page regularly for updates. 

General Liability

Nature Folk is not liable for incidental, indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages of any kind that you or others may suffer, including but not limited to damages for lost profits or revenues, physical harm, loss or damage to personal property arising from or related to Nature Folk’s performance, even if Nature Folk should have known of the potential.
